I’ve been waiting several years to be able to write this sentence to you all…

(Drumroll please!)

We ALL have the paperwork we need to return to South Africa!!!!!!!!!

The kids and I recently received Relative Accompaniment travels visas from the Los Angeles consulate which are good for two years.  We are so thankful to the Lord!  We just bought return tickets and when we land in SA, we will begin the process of applying for Permanent Residency permits for myself and the kids again.  

We have committed to finish a couple of projects here in the States and to speak at a couple events so we are planning to return home to South Africa in mid August.  We are thankful we can enjoy a few warmer summer days with family before heading back to chilly South African winter.  It still feels far away, but the time is really going to fly by.

Grandpa Don’s cancer has spread to a couple other places in his body, but we are so thankful that he is still feeling “absolutely marvelous”.  His Doctor said that the cancer isn’t curable but they should be able to manage it and they will do their best to give him as much time as possible while feeling as good as possible.  We appreciate their kind approach to his care.  He is still driving, socializing with his friends, driving his granddaughter to her tennis matches, and still doing his job as bookkeeper for the church at 86 years young.  Thank you for adding your prayers to ours for life and healing and wholeness over his body.  He will have quite a few Dr appointments in the next several weeks as things get started and we will still be living with him for his first several months of care while they adjusting his meds until they find the right dose. 

We would still love to connect many of you before we head back.
