Lots of miles...and smiles!

October

In the past couple weeks we have been doing the usual homeschooling (sometimes on the road!), connecting with donors, and enjoying time with family.

September is a great month for SALVATION!

We recently heard a great report from the New Horizon College student ministry leaders!  We have been weekly going through Christian foundations by showing the Alpha Course (with the African interviews) and the students have been very engaged and asking brilliant questions about life and faith.  The leaders invited the students to spend all afternoon with them and they had a lot of fun playing games, dancing, worshipping andhaving extended teaching sessions.  Eight students chose to ask Jesus to be their Lord andSavior and to be filled with Holy Spirit that evening.  We are THRILLED!  Please continue to pray with us for them to grow in their new faith.

Where you can find us:

Journey Church in Federal Way – October 15th  at 10am.
They will be highlighting our ministry during the service and we will have a table in the lobby where you can chat to us after the service.  If you can get to the South Seattle area that Sunday, we would love to see you!

Boise and Fairfield, Idaho – we will be in Boise the 20th and in Fairfield 21st-22nd.  We are having a get together on Saturday evening and then attending church on Sunday morning.  We’d love to see you all!  You can contact Colleen B for more info about the Saturday event.

Colorado – Oct 24-26, we will be in Colorado Springs most of the time but also be near Denver and Fort Collins.  Let’s connect!

On the way back 27th/28th-30th, we hope to connect with friends in Montana and in Northern Idaho – our route and dates are still coming.

We hope to have some open house events and visit some home groups in Portland/Vancouver and Seattle in November but those dates are not yet scheduled.  I’ll let you know in our next letter.

Please pray for our family as we continue to do a lot of traveling this month!

October is a great month for GETTING VISAS!

You probably are sick of us asking for prayer for this, but October 30th is a big day for our visa application process and we hope to have our paperwork reviewed favorably.  While we would love to be granted permanent residency, at this point any additional information would be helpful.  Please join us in praying for a fair and favorable review andfor breakthrough in our application process.  We love Southern Africa and have been living and ministering there since 2006.  We would love to have permission to return home and be a part of what God is doing there, but are holding it all with open hands andhearts as we wait to see what will unfold for us.

We continue to hear from friends and ministry partners in Africa almost daily and are thrilled with what God is continuing to do there.  We are so thankful that so many of Miesha and Titus’s friends continue to pursue them and do video chats.

More than ever, we are so very thankful for you all.  As we spend time with so many of you, we are so grateful to the Lord for connecting us, intertwining our lives and stories, and all the amazing testimonies we see and hear – both from Africa and over and over in USA too.  While missionary life holds some challenges, furlough connections are definitely a HUGE JOY.

Hope to see more of you soon!

With joy and deep gratefulness,
Dan, Janell, Miesha and Titus
